As the founder of Create Vision UK, I am thrilled to have won a business award this year: The "Make It Happen Award 2010". After 3 years hard work it is great to have this for recognition of what I have achieved so far.
The Award comes from the ‘Swindon Businesswomens Breakfast Club’ (SBBC).
As a result, I have funding towards training; this will be invaluable to help me continue my professional development. I will also have a mentor for a year, and membership of the business group and through these it will be really useful to network and learn from other people.
I am taking this opportunity to revaluate how I want to develop my business. I have decided that it is important to extend the work I do with disabled people; this will support the training I do with organisations by keeping my skills up to date.
To achieve the above I am considering training as a mentor or counsellor, which could compliment the my current services I offer. Winning the award will help me start this.
Here is the information about the award, look out for it next year if you are eligible:
"We all dream of being successful, of doing the things we really want to do – but we need to “Make It Happen”.
To take that step from dream to reality is a great leap into the unknown, and that is where the SBBC can help.
If you are a woman living or working in Swindon who wants to further your career, get that promotion, set up your own business or choose a new career path we can help you.
The SBBC 'Make It Happen Award' provides financial support of £500 towards training, free membership of the group for 1 year and the support of a Mentor to help you 'Make It Happen' ”
