Access Creatives is a varied list of creative people; artists, designers, illustrators and so on. Their work is either easy to see, or uses other senses. If you are recruiting for a creative project and accessibility is important, there may be someone on this list who can assist you.

Mary started Create Vision UK in 2008.  She has planned and delivered training for a wide range of organisations, including hospitals, universities and specialist education colleges.  She has also advised on lighting requirements, learning materials and other areas.

Originally Mary trained with Guide Dogs to be a Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Worker.  In this role she has worked with various groups to maximise their independence and basic skills.  Mary has particular experience teaching rehabilitation skills to people with learning disabilities and other additional needs. 

Mary's experience in the disability field is diverse and spans 9 years.  She has worked in the public and voluntary sectors, including a disability helpline (DIAL Leeds), an RNIB Further Education College, and Social Serivces. 

Mary has personal experience of disability and family experience of visual impairment and multiple disability. 

Mary is also an artist and is currently researching ways to make tactile art and tactile maps (see her art website, Art Oxford).
